That the renewal application for a sex shop licence for Pulse & Cocktails, A1 Southbound, Stoke Rochford, Grantham is approved as applied for in accordance with Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 (as amended by the Policing and Crime Act 2009).

The Licensing Officer presented report CSL030 which concerned the renewal of a sex shop licence for the premises known as Pulse & Cocktails located at A1 southbound, Stoke Rochford, Grantham and confirmed that neither the applicants or any representatives were attending the meeting. The Licensing Officer reminded the Committee that each application must be determined on its own merits and could only be refused on certain defined or mandatory grounds as outlined within the report. The applicant had held a sex shop licence since April 2009 and there had been no complaints received during this time or during the 28 day consultation period from receipt of the application to renew. The applicant wished to renew the license as it stood with no changes to the opening hours which were:

Monday – Sunday   09.00 to 2200hrs (including Bank Holiday)

Members considered the information before them and as no objections had been received from either the public or any statutory authorities, it was proposed, seconded and unanimously agreed to grant the licence as applied for.
