Cabinet will be asked to review the following policies:
- Breach reporting form
- Data protection policy
- Information governance guidance
- Procedure for reporting breaches
- Procedure for undertaking a DPIA
- Protocol for protection personal data

Decision:

Cabinet approves the proposed updates and amendments to the existing Data Protection policies.

Considerations/reasons for decision:

·       The existing SKDC Data Protection policies had not been reviewed since 2018.

·       The policies and procedures have been updated to align with ICO reporting requirements and current legislation.

Options considered:

The Cabinet could decide not to approve the proposed updates and amendments but this would leave the policies out of date in relation to current legislation.
