Community Governance Review - Update of Progress

    -       Role of the Working Group


    The Head of Democratic Services and Deputy Monitoring Officer informed the Group that the Community Governance Review consultation had gone live on-line on Friday 11 March 2022.  Hard copies of the consultation documents had been posted out on Friday, direct from the printers, to those living in Grantham and the surrounding Parishes.  Hard copies of the documents included the survey which could be completed in hard copy or on-line. Also contained within the documents was a QR code which took you direct to the on-line survey.   Every household in Grantham had received a printed copy of the consultation documents together with the surrounding parishes.  A list of those statutory consultees who had been sent a link by email to access a copy of the consultation documents included:


    ·       All South Kesteven District Councillors

    ·       Lincolnshire County Councillors for the South Kesteven area

    ·       Lincolnshire County Council’s Chief Executive, cc’d to Head of Democratic Services

    ·       Gareth Davies MP / Dr Caroline Johnson MP

    ·       The Parish Councils of Barrowby, Belton & Manthorpe, Great Gonerby, Little Ponton & Stroxton, Harlaxton, Londonthorpe & Harrowby Without

    ·       A copy had been sent to the Mayor’s Parlour for the Grantham Charter Trustees as an organisation itself to respond

    ·       A copy had been sent to the Chairman of Grantham Business Club who had been asked to forward it on to businesses on their database

    If any Member knew of any further community group to send the information to, they were asked to inform the Community Governance Team in order that a link or a hard copy of the documents could be sent.  The Chairman asked how a community group could contact the team and the Head of Democratic Services and Deputy Monitoring Officer replied that there was an address on the consultation documents, together with an email, or they could telephone 01476 40 60 80.
