The Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 requires local planning authorities to prepare Local Plans for their area. The Local Plan guides decisions on future development proposals and addresses the needs and opportunities of the area. The Cabinet report is seeking approval of the draft Local Plan for public consultation in accordance with Regulation 18 of the 2012 regulations.
