The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended by the Planning Act 2008 and Localism Act 2011) requires a Local Planning Authority (LPA) to prepare and maintain an LDS setting out the Development Plan Documents (DPD) to be produced, including the Local Plan; the subject matter; and geographical area.
